HSBC BANK NAMES AIMEE DANIELS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND REGIONAL PRESIDENT FOR MID ATLANTIC REGION

New York -- HSBC Bank USA, N.A. today announced that it has appointed Aimee Daniels as executive vice president and regional president for the Mid Atlantic region. Daniels succeeds Dominic O'Hagan who becomes executive vice president and regional president for the West Coast.
Effective January 8, Daniels will be based in Washington, DC and will report directly to Kevin Newman, group general manager, senior executive vice president, Personal Financial Services and functionally to Chris Davies, senior executive vice president head of commercial banking for North America. Prior to this new role, Daniels was HSBC's senior vice president and regional commercial executive based in Chicago.
"Aimee is a highly skilled banker and has been key in building our commercial banking business in Chicago," said Kevin Newman. "I am confident that her leadership and expertise will serve the bank well in the Mid Atlantic region as we continue to expand our retail and commercial business in the DC metro area."
Daniels joined HSBC in June 2006 and has been instrumental in establishing HSBC's Chicago office and managing the middle market banking practice in the Midwest. Prior to joining HSBC, Daniels was a partner in charge of sales and marketing for CapX Partners, a $150 million debt fund, where her responsibilities included new business development, credit underwriting and monitoring and general administration.
Prior to CapX, Daniels was a senior vice president and division head with the middle market group of LaSalle Bank's downtown Chicago office, where she was responsible for managing a commercial portfolio consisting of general middle market clients and technology companies. During Daniels' tenure with LaSalle, she also established the company's Des Moines, Iowa office growing that business from a startup.
Before joining LaSalle Bank, Daniels spent more than 11 years at American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago serving in a variety of roles including commercial banking, correspondent banking, market research and bank operations administration.
Daniels holds a master's of management in marketing and finance with dean's list honors from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor of science in quantitative methods and marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in Chicago, Daniels served on a variety boards including the Illinois Technology Development Fund Board, World Trade Center of Chicago Board and the Association for Corporate Growth Program Committee. She is also a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange, an organization of senior financial women in Chicago, the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives Club of Chicago, and the Chicago Club.
