HSBC BANK NAMES DOMINIC O'HAGAN EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND REGIONAL PRESIDENT FOR THE WEST COAST

New York -- HSBC Bank USA, N.A. today announced that it has appointed Dominic O'Hagan as executive vice president and regional president for the West Coast. O'Hagan succeeds David Tunnicliffe who retired after more than 30 years with the bank.
Effective January 14, O'Hagan will be based in Los Angeles reporting directly to Kevin Newman, group general manager, senior executive vice president, Personal Financial Services and functionally to Chris Davies, senior executive vice president and head of commercial banking for North America. Prior to this new role, O'Hagan was HSBC's executive vice president and regional president for the Mid-Atlantic region, based in Washington, DC.
"Dominic has been instrumental in the expansion of our business in the Mid-Atlantic," said Kevin Newman. "I am confident that he will bring the same dedication and expertise to the West Coast Region as HSBC continues to expand in California, Washington and Oregon."
O'Hagan has more than nineteen years of international and US banking industry experience. He joined HSBC in 1988 and has worked in a variety of roles in the U.S., Asia and the Middle East covering commercial banking, corporate banking, personal banking, international trade finance and risk management. This is a return to the West Coast for O'Hagan as prior to moving to Washington DC, he was chief operating officer of Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank, an equity joint venture between HSBC and Wells Fargo, based in California.
O'Hagan is a graduate of the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom and holds a master's of business administration from Henley Management College in the United Kingdom. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking.
