HSBC Appoints Experienced Local Banker to Manage New Georgetown, Washington, D.C. Branch

Joseph Reamer to manage newly opened HSBC Bank branch in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

Mettawa, IL - HSBC has appointed Joseph Reamer, a local banker with more than ten years finance industry experience, to manage its newly opened branch at 1715 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

As manager of HSBC's Georgetown branch, Reamer is responsible for seven locally employed banking professionals. Between them they are able to serve customers in French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish and Urdu as well as English, and offer more than 30 years combined banking experience.

From 2006 until his new appointment, Reamer successfully managed the HSBC Regional Office on Connecticut Avenue in Washington, D.C. Under his leadership the branch tripled its deposit base and became closely involved with Georgetown's large international community. Prior to joining HSBC, he was a branch manager for PNC Bank in Arlington, Virginia.

Reamer is a member of numerous community groups in Washington, D.C., including the local chamber of commerce and board of trade, as well as the Georgetown Business Association. He is also Chair of the local HSBC chapters of GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) and Junior Achievement.
