Opens First Artesia Facility
Mettawa, IL - HSBC Bank USA, N.A. (HSBC) has opened the doors to its latest branch in the heart of Artesia, Los Angeles County. With the addition of this facility, HSBC now has a total of 18 branches across the L.A - Orange County area, serving tens of thousands of personal and business customers and employing scores of local people.
The HSBC Group's network in over 80 countries and territories is perfectly aligned to Artesia with its high concentration of internationally-orientated individuals and businesses that benefit from both an on-the-ground HSBC branch presence and its extensive global reach.
Today's announcement is a further example of HSBC's strategy of expanding in select locations across the U.S. outside of the retail bank's core business in New York State. Since 2006, more than 90 branches have been rolled out in internationally-oriented communities across California, Florida, New Jersey, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Located at 18182 Pioneer Boulevard, the brand new 2,345 square-foot facility features private consultation rooms, two teller stations, an ATM and Saturday hours, as well as off-street parking and the latest in customer-friendly design.
Operating initially with a staff of ten locally employed banking professionals, the Artesia branch provides a full range of financial services to both businesses and individuals including Premier,1 HSBC's global personal banking service. This offers international recognition, worldwide support, wealth management,2 insurance, mortgages,3 a credit card,4 access to a relationship manager and 'Global View,' a unique online service which allows customers to access and manage all of their international Premier accounts in one place.
Newly appointed branch manager, Cathy Li, is a career banker with almost decade's worth of business experience in and around Los Angeles. Cathy and team are able to serve customers in Mandarin and Cantonese as well as English, and offer more than 72 years of combined banking experience.
This evening, HSBC will mark the occasion with a grand opening ceremony at the new branch, featuring a presentation of $5,000 checks to Friends of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center5 The Artesia Historical Society6 and Cerritos College Foundation.7
All donations will be used support educational and cultural development projects for young people in the local area.

5 Friends of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center
Org is dedicated to enhancing education through high quality performing arts experiences. 6 Artesia Historical Society
Org offers an interesting interactive school tour program for elementary students through which they learn about the history of the area, play games of the era and do an activity or create a craft, all with knowledgeable docents.
Since the program's inception in 2004, the org has served approximately 2,000 students. Feedback from teachers is consistently positive.
7 Cerritos College Foundation
HSBC funds will be directed to the ESL program serving recent immigrants between the ages of 18-25 years old.
