Facility extends HSBC Bank USA's network in California to more than 35 branches
New York, NY (January 26, 2010) - HSBC Bank USA, N.A, part of one of the world's largest financial services organizations, has officially opened the doors to its latest full-service retail branch, situated in the heart of Mountain View, California. The addition of this facility extends HSBC Bank USA's network in California to more than 35 branches, employing scores of local people and serving tens of thousands of customers.
HSBC Group's presence in over 80 countries and territories is perfectly aligned to Mountain View, with its high concentration of internationally connected individuals that benefit from both an on-the-ground HSBC branch presence and its extensive global reach.

Located at 1350 Grant Road, #3, the brand-new, 2,819 square-feet facility features two teller stations, five meeting rooms, a Premier banking center, ATM, weekend hours and off-street parking, as well as the latest in customer-friendly design.
Operating initially with a staff of seven locally employed banking professionals, the Mountain View branch provides a full range of financial services to both businesses and individuals including Premier1, HSBC's global personal banking service. This offers international recognition, worldwide support, wealth management2, insurance, mortgages3, a credit card4, access to a relationship manager and 'Global View,' a unique online service which allows customers to access and manage all of their international Premier accounts in one place.
Branch manager Phoebe Zhan is a career banker with eight years professional experience in and around the Bay Area. In addition to English, Phoebe and team are able to serve customers in two dialects of Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Hindi, Spanish and Tagalog. Between them they offer more than three decade's worth of combined banking experience.
This evening, HSBC will mark the occasion of its Mountain View launch with a VIP Grand Opening Ceremony, during which checks totalling $15,000 will be presented to support Mountain View Education Foundation (MVEF)5 and The Friends of Stevens Creek Trail6. Both donations will be used to support local community initiatives.
