NEW YORK, NY – HSBC Bank USA, N.A., "the world's local bank" will bring tastes of the world to the eleventh annual New Yorker Festival, October 1-3, 2010. This year's Festival will feature regional delicacies from six of the city's most popular food trucks representing cuisines and cultures from around the globe. Stationed outside high-trafficked Festival venues, the participating food trucks will offer Festival-goers and passers-by a unique international culinary experience, without ever leaving the sidewalks of New York.
The participating food trucks and their specially-created Festival dishes include:
“One of the most wonderful things about New York City is the variety of people, cultures, and - most importantly – the food,” said Kenny Lao, owner of the Rickshaw Dumpling Food Truck. “Food trucks have become a permanent fixture on the streets of New York City providing access to some of the best culinary treats around the world. New Yorker Festival attendees not only gain access to the best and brightest in the worlds of art, entertainment, journalism and publishing, but now, with the support of HSBC Bank, they get a chance to experience the best of the local culinary craze.”
As the presenting sponsor of this year’s New Yorker Festival, HSBC Bank is delighting their clients with additional treats from the participating food trucks. From October 1 – 3, HSBC Bank customers will receive a unique treat by flashing their HSBC branded credit or debit cards. Treats will be available while supplies last on a first come first served basis.

“New Yorker Festival is a perfect fit for our globally-minded HSBC Bank customer,” said Johanna Breman Tzur, Head of HSBC Brand & Advertising, North America. “Given the current popularity of food trucks, we thought our current and prospective customers would appreciate the chance to sample a range of local and international cuisine, as yet another element of the New Yorker Festival experience that aligns well with our global accessibility and mindset as “the world’s local bank.”
