HSBC Makes Senior Appointment to Mid-Atlantic Leadership Team

Washington, D.C. - HSBC Bank USA, N.A. (HSBC) today confirmed the appointment of Michael Privitera to Senior Vice President, Personal Financial Services Executive, for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

In this newly created role, Mike is responsible for retail banking, wealth management, and residential mortgage lending in the Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania markets.

A 20-year HSBC veteran, Mike has relocated to McLean, VA from Rochester, NY where he served as District Executive since 2006. Mike has also held leadership roles with HSBC in Private Banking, Business Banking, eBusiness, and Human Resources. He earned his MBA from the Saunders School of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology, and received his undergraduate degree in business from Regent's College.

As a strong supporter of HSBC's environmental and educational initiatives, Mike has served on the Board of Directors of Genesee Land Trust, and is an active participant in Junior Achievement and the Upstate New York Families for Effective Autism Treatment.
