HSBC Marks San Diego Expansion with Grand Opening Event
16 February 2011
New York, NY – HSBC Bank USA, N.A, (HSBC) part of one of the world’s largest financial services organizations, will this evening officially mark its recent expansion in San Diego with a grand opening event for over three hundred invited guests at the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park.
Since opening its first facility in December 2009, HSBC’s San Diego network now extends to three branches and a Premier Center1, employing numerous local people and serving thousands of customers. HSBC Group’s presence in over 80 countries and territories is perfectly aligned to the San Diego area, with its growing number of internationally connected businesses and individuals who benefit from both an on-the-ground HSBC branch presence and its extensive global reach.
During the event, HSBC will present checks for $5000 to four local charities: Project Wildlife2, Young Audiences of San Diego3, MANA de San Diego4 and Eastlake Educational Foundation5. Funds will be used to support locally-based education and wildlife preservation programs.
All HSBC branches are equipped with manned teller stations, ATMs, business banking offices and private meeting rooms as well as the latest in customer-friendly design. They provide a range of financial services to both individuals and businesses, including mortgages, loans, wealth management, and insurance.
Also offered is Premier6, HSBC’s flagship international personal banking service, which provides international recognition, worldwide support, a credit card, home-financing options, access to a relationship manager and Global View, a unique service that allows customers to view and manage all of their international accounts in one place.
Branch staff are able to serve customers in several languages including English and Spanish and between them offer over 100 years worth of combined banking experience.
David Goeden, West Coast Regional President, HSBC Bank USA, N.A., said, “San Diego, with its well-established international connections, was the obvious place in which to enhance our West Coast branch network. As ‘The world’s local bank’, we fully understand the importance of serving the San Diego community locally while helping them to make the most of opportunities globally.”
