HSBC's Arch Street Branch Officially Re-Opens After Multi-Million Dollar Upgrade

Bank marks re-opening with $10,000 donation to two local charities
New York, NY - HSBC Bank USA, N.A, (HSBC) part of one of the world's largest financial services organizations, celebrates the official re-opening of its Philadelphia Chinatown branch tonight with a VIP event for customers and local dignitaries. Located at 1027 Arch Street, the branch has been extensively renovated and now features some of the very latest in customer-friendly design and banking technology.
Operating with a staff of 17 locally employed banking professionals the Arch Street branch provides a full range of financial services to both businesses and individuals. The 5000 square foot facility features five teller stations, Premier and Business banking receptions areas, eight meeting rooms and a 24 hour ATM, as well as convenient parking nearby.
Branch manager Danny Chan is a career banker with over 17 years professional experience in and around the Philadelphia area. Danny and team are able to provide assistance in seven languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Taiwanese, Indonesian, Hindi and Fuzhounese) as well as English. Between them they offer more than 230 years worth of combined banking experience.
A key area of focus for the branch is Premier1, HSBC's global personal banking service. This offers international recognition, worldwide support, wealth management, 2 insurance, mortgages, 3 a credit card, 4 access to a relationship manager and 'Global View,' a unique online service which allows customers to access and manage all of their international Premier accounts in one place.

During this evening's event HSBC will mark the occasion of its Arch Street branch re-launch with a presentation of checks totalling $10,000 to two local charities: Folk Arts - Cultural Treasures Charter School5 (FACTS) and the Asian American Women's Coalition6 (AAWC). All funds will be used to support local community programs.
Dr. Susan Stengel, Principal and Executive Director, FACTS, said: "We're delighted to receive this donation. HSBC's support will help fund programs committed to arts education, folk arts, respect for language, language diversity and community-based learning."
Margaret Chin, President, AAWC, said: "This generous contribution will support the Cecilia Moy Yep Scholarship Fund. Now in its 25th year, the fund provides scholarships to help Asian-American female students in financial need who have excelled in their studies."
