HSBC Global Asset Management Appoints Jayant Kumar to Senior Institutional Sales Position

New York, NY - HSBC Global Asset Management (USA) Inc. today announced that Jayant Kumar, CFA, has joined its institutional sales team as Senior Vice President. Based in New York, Kumar is responsible for business development in the endowment, foundation and non-profit marketplace with a focus on HSBC's full range of emerging market strategies. He reports to Christian Deseglise, Head of Sales for the Americas, HSBC Global Asset Management.

Jayant brings more than 15 years of financial services experience and joins from Fischer Francis Trees & Watts where he was responsible for sales and marketing within the non-profit arena. Previously, he worked as a relationship manager in the Institutional Fixed Income group at Brown Brothers Harriman where he served as the primary contact for institutional investors world-wide and developed client growth and retention strategies.

Jayant holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Rochester. He is a CFA charter-holder and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
