1099 Tax Forms for 2012 Now Available

If you earned at least $10.00 in total interest income or had tax withheld during 2012 and signed up for eStatements prior to January 1, 2013, you can view and print your Form 1099-INT* for all eligible HSBC accounts through Personal Internet Banking.

To view your Form 1099-INT:

  • Select "eStatements" when you log on to Personal Internet Banking
  • Then choose "View Income Tax eDocuments"
  • Your Form 1099-INT for each eligible account will be available to view and print at your convenience

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. customers can access their 2012 Brokerage Tax Statement via Personal Internet Banking, by logging in and following the instructions below:

  • Click on your brokerage account in the Account Summary screen
  • Click on "View Account Detail/Trading" link in Account Details screen
  • Click Yes to the End User Agreement
  • On the Brokerage Accounts page, click on Statements and Reports.

* Form 1099-INT is a statement reporting to the IRS interest income you received during the previous calendar year. You will only receive a Form 1099-INT for an account if you earned at least $10.00 in total interest income or had tax withheld during 2012. HSBC eStatement customers will not receive a paper Form 1099-INT in the mail unless specifically requested through a secure BankMail within Personal Internet Banking. Paper versions of Form 1099-INT will continue to be sent by mail for HSBC accounts that do not qualify for an online Form 1099-INT.
