No minimum balance
If you write only a few checks a month, or keep a small checking balance, HSBC's Basic Banking could be right for you. There's no minimum balance requirement and the monthly maintenance fee is just $3 per month. We'll even process up to 8 checks/withdrawal slips each month at no charge. After that, it's just $.35 per check or withdrawal slip.

HSBC Debit MasterCard® card
The HSBC Debit MasterCard® card is welcomed at millions of locations worldwide - anywhere MasterCard is accepted. Make deposits, transfer funds between your HSBC accounts, obtain cash or view account balance information at HSBC ATMs across the United States.
Avoid overdrafts from your checking account with optional HSBC Select Credit® for Overdraft Protection. Available funds from your Select Credit line are automatically transferred to your checking account in the event that your account becomes overdrawn. You can also access funds easily from your Select Credit line with Select Credit checks.

1 Check images are only available if you have Record Check®. Canceled checks will be retained for six years. Canceled checks will be retained for seven years for Washington state residents. Check images are available for 365 days from the day the check posts to the account. Additional restrictions may apply.
