You can rely on HSBC wherever you travel.
While traveling internationally, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that the HSBC Group's ATMs and branch locations offer personal financial services in many countries. Emergency financial support is also available worldwide.
If you lose your wallet, you can receive an emergency encashment of up to US $2,000 or local currency equivalent for HSBC Premier clients and an emergency encashment up to US $500 or local currency equivalent for HSBC Advance Banking customers.1 You'll just need to show proper identification at any HSBC branch.
With your HSBC Premier World MasterCard® credit card and HSBC Premier Debit MasterCard®, you won't be charged any foreign transaction fees.2
I plan to relocate internationally. What do I need to do?
As an HSBC client, you can simply visit your local branch location to discuss banking options abroad with a HSBC Premier Relationship Manager or Branch Representative. If you plan on opening a bank account in your destination country, you can even begin the account opening process prior to arrival.
Remote application services through the International Banking Center via Telephone or Internet Banking are available to customers outside of areas that HSBC operates within.

How do I transfer funds between my HSBC accounts in different countries?
You can send a wire transfer to your HSBC deposit accounts abroad in order to fund accounts that were recently opened through the North American International Banking Center.
HSBC Premier and HSBC Advance clients receive complimentary Global Transfers, which allows you to move funds between your eligible worldwide HSBC deposit accounts in real time, with no fees.
How do I access my U.S. account internationally?
24-hour Personal Internet Banking is available for HSBC U.S. customers worldwide. Simply log on to Personal Internet Banking.

How do I open an HSBC deposit account in another country?
As an HSBC client, you can visit your local branch location to discuss banking options abroad.
You can even begin the account opening process prior to your arrival in your new home country. If a branch office is not convenient, remote application services are available through the International Banking Center via Telephone or Personal Internet Banking.

How do I open an HSBC credit account (e.g., credit card, mortgage) in another country?
As an HSBC client, you can receive MasterCard® services outside the U.S.
To apply for credit products abroad, please contact the International Banking Center today toll-free at 877.850.4722 or 716.841.0613. A representative will advise you what credit products are available with HSBC in the desired country and will assist you through the application process.
HSBC Bank USA, N.A. will transfer your HSBC credit history3 to the requested HSBC entity, which will be used in conjunction with your application information to process your credit application. Please be advised that customers must establish deposit relationships with all HSBC entities in order to be eligible for credit facilities with that entity.
How do I contact HSBC outside of the United States?
Customer service is available to all HSBC U.S. customers regardless of their location. If you are calling from outside the United States or Canada, you may call us collect at 716.841.7212.

2 Premier World MasterCard: The information about the costs and benefits of the card described is accurate as of 09/15/2014. The variable Purchase APR applies to credit card purchases and is 12.99%. The variable Balance Transfer APR applies to balance transfers and credit card checks and is 12.99%. The variable Cash APR applies to cash advances and overdrafts and is 24.99%. Your APRs may increase to the variable Penalty APR of 29.99% if you fail to make a minimum payment to us when due. These APRs will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. For each billing cycle, variable APRs are calculated by adding a specified amount ("Spread") to the U.S. Prime Rate published in the Money Rates table of The Wall Street Journal that is in effect on the last day of the month ("Prime Rate"). If the Prime Rate changes, the new APRs will take effect on the first day of your billing cycle beginning in the next month. The Minimum Interest Charge is $0.50. A Cash Advance Fee of either $5 or 3%, whichever is greater, maximum $50 fee, will apply on each cash advance transaction. A Balance Transfer Fee of either $5 or 3%, whichever is greater, maximum $50 fee, will apply on each balance transfer and credit card check. There is no Annual Fee, Overdraft Transaction Fee, or Foreign Transaction Fee.
We may change the terms on your Account. This may include changing, adding, or removing terms. We may do this in response to the legal, business, competitive environment or other reasons not listed here. We may increase the interest rate on existing balances in limited circumstances. Changes to some terms may require at least 45 days advance notice, and we will tell you in the notice if you have the right to reject a change. We cannot change certain terms during the first year of your Account.

HSBC Premier World MasterCard® requires an HSBC relationship and is subject to credit approval. To qualify for an HSBC Premier relationship, you need to open an HSBC Premier checking account and maintain $100,000 in combined U.S. personal deposit and investment balances. A monthly maintenance fee of $50 will be incurred if minimum balance requirements are not maintained.
