How to enable Touch ID for HSBC

  1. In your iPhone Settings, make sure you've registered your fingerprints
  2. Now open the HSBC Mobile Banking App and enter your Digital Security Device Passcode
  3. Once in the HSBC Mobile Banking app, enable Touch ID from the Settings menu
  4. Scan your fingerprint for verification

Not using the HSBC Mobile Banking App1 yet? Install the app now.

First, enable Touch ID in your device's Settings and follow the instructions to save your fingerprint. You will need to set up a device passcode, if you have not done this already.

Go to the App Center on your device and type in "HSBC" to download our free app.

Next, start the HSBC Mobile Banking app and follow the instructions to register for Mobile Banking. As part of the registration process you will be asked if you want to use Touch ID.

Important security information

When you enable Touch ID log on, any fingerprint stored on your device - now or in the future - can be used to log on to the HSBC Mobile Banking app. You should only enable Touch ID if you're the only person who has registered fingerprints on your device.

More information about keeping your device and security details safe and secure are available in the "Security" section of the Mobile Banking app Terms and Conditions. You find these in the app menu.
